The 2nd of October is quite late in the diving season but the sea was flat calm and there was enough interest to organise Sunday dives. The inter-university week end was taking place in Kilkee at the week end and the car park was buzzing with divers. From our own club we had an excellent turn out with 9 members and 2 guests. Bob was back from China, and Tomas finally made it back in the water and behind the weel, all on the day of his birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Tomas.

First dive was at Muracha reef, visibility was excellent, at least 20m maybe more. Eimhear from LIMSAC passed her test and led a brilliant dive.

At lunch time there was plenty of cake to celebrate the birthday and we also had a good display of cheeses and olives. Did anyone go to the market on Saturday???

We went to Tony's crack for the second dive. As usual in this site, the lobsters were walking around, protected by the reef from the fishermen. A bird met us on the dive at 15m and "swam" as far as we could see, surprising.

We finished the day in our favorite pub, for giant portions of fish and chips.

What a day! Great company, excellent sea conditions/visibility, everything was there to make it a special day for most of us.
